Transfer/Returning Students: Bachelor Degree Programs

  • All requested transcripts and test scores must be official and remain in an envelope sealed by the issuing institution. Students do not need to request transcripts from any University of Alaska campus.
    • Mail official transcripts to UAA Office of Admissions, PO Box 141629, Anchorage AK 99514-1629
    • Email official transcripts from secure providers such as eScript or AVOW to admissions@uaa.alaska.edu
      • UAA does not accept final transcripts by fax or email.

  • Students who wish to transfer college-level course work from institutions outside the United States or Canada must submit

Bachelor Degree (4 years)
Admission Requirements

Students with fewer than 24 college-level semester credits:
Qualifications (one of the following)
  • Graduation from high school with GPA of at least 2.5 and the SAT, ACT or a UAA-approved test; or
  • Successful completion of the GED, and the SAT, ACT or a UAA-approved test; or
  • Meet one of the options in the catalog under admission for non-high school graduates
    • (High school graduates with GPA between 2.0 and 2.49 will be admitted on probation.)
Required Admission Documents
  • Admission application and $50 fee
  • Final high school transcript showing graduation date or GED test scores
  • ACT, SAT or a UAA-approved test scores
  • Official transcripts from all regionally accredited colleges and universities

Students with 24 or more college level semester credits:
Qualifications (one of the following)
  • Completion of at least 24 college-level semester credits with a GPA of at least 2.00 and high school diploma or GED; or
  • Meet one of the options in the catalog under admission for non-high school graduates
    • (Transfer students with a college GPA between 1.75 and 1.99 will be admitted on probation.)

  • Official transcripts from all regionally accredited colleges and universities
