Transfer/Returning Students: Certificate or Associate Degree Programs

  • All requested transcripts and test scores must be official and remain in an envelope sealed by the issuing institution. Students do not need to request transcripts from any University of Alaska campus.
    • Mail official transcripts to UAA Office of Admissions, PO Box 141629, Anchorage AK 99514-1629
    • Email official transcripts from secure providers such as AVOW or eScript to admissions@uaa.alaska.edu
      • UAA does not accept FINAL transcripts by fax or email.
  • Students with college-level course work from institutions outside the United States or Canada must submit:

Admission Requirements
 
Students with fewer than 24 college-level semester credits:
Qualifications (one of the following)
  • Graduation from high school (no minimum GPA required); or
  • Successful completion of the GED test; or
  • Meet one of the options in the catalog under admission for non-high school graduates
Required Admission Documents
  • Admission application and $40 fee
  • Final high school transcript showing graduation date or GED test scores
  • Official transcripts from all regionally accredited colleges and universities


Students with 24 or more college-level semester credits:
Qualifications (one of the following)
  • Completion of at least 24 college-level semester credits with GPA of 2.0 or higher and graduation from high school or successful completion of the GED test; or
  • Meet one of the options in the catalog under admission for non-high school graduates
    • (Students with GPA less than 2.0 will be admitted on probation.)

  • Official transcripts from all regionally accredited colleges and universities
