UAA Faculty & Staff Title IX Training

Beginning Monday, June 16, 2014, we are asking that all faculty & staff member attend a Title IX training. Title IX is more than a sports law, and it aims to bring gender equity to all educational programs, especially through the elimination of sexual harassment and sexual assault on campus.

UAA Faculty Training
Wednesday, August 13, 2014
Wendy Williamson Auditorium
9:00 am - 2:30 pm

The UAA Faculty Training will take place in the Wendy Williamson Auditorium and will take place from 9:00 am - 2:30 pm. Title IX training is mandatory for all faculty members and well as staff and students, including adjunct and other temporary faculty and staff. Adjunct faculty will be invited to participate on August 13, but other arrangements will be made for them as well in recognition that many have other employment. Faculty at community campuses will participate via video-conference. Lunch will be provided to all participants. If a faculty member has attended a Title IX training session this summer, there is no need to repeat the training. Please be aware that on August 13th, addition training topics will be covered as well in addition to Title IX. An agenda will be published to cover all subjects for the training day.

* Please note that video conferencing is available for those outside of the Anchorage area who will be attending through their designated campus location. Those who are within the Anchorage area are expected to physically attend the training within the location specified to the date and time of the training

If you have an unavoidable conflict with this date, you must inform your dean or director prior to the start of the contract on August 8. In an effort to facilitate registration, on the day of training, UAA faculty will present their UAA Wolfcard, which in turn will verify attendance. If you fail to sign-in, you will be required to retake the training at a later date,
