Biography

Born and raised in Western New York State, Bridgett Mayorga moved to Anchorage, Alaska in 2019. She came to University of Alaska Anchorage with over 25 years of medical imaging and teaching experience. Bridgett was the Program Director at the School of Radiologic Science at St James Mercy Hospital in Hornell, NY as well as serving as a faculty member at the Rochester Institute of Technology Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program in Rochester, NY and as an Assistant Professor, Radiologic Technology and Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program Director at SUNY at Alfred in Alfred, New York. A registered radiologic technologist, Bridgett also holds multiple credentials in sonography. Bridgett is now the Assistant Dean for the School of Allied Health as well as the Program Director for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program at UAA.

As a healthcare educator, Bridgett feels a responsibility to help the community by providing quality educational opportunities to students to meet the growing need for healthcare professionals in Alaska.
