Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE)

Western Undergraduate Exchange(WUE) tuition rates are available to students who retain residency in the following states:

 To be eligible:

  • Students must be a resident of one
    of the participating states
  • Indicate your current residency status
    on your admission application
  • Complete the WUE application and send it
    with required documentation to:

All UAA academic programs are available for students eligible to participate in the WUE program.  This program attracts students from all over the western region of our country; thereby adding to our diverse student body.  

Important note: If you accept the WUE waiver you cannot count the time you attend as a WUE student toward the time required for establishing Alaska residency.

 

How much will I save?

WUE students pay 150% of the resident tuition rate plus any fees that all students are required to pay. This offers significant savings compared to the non-resident tuition rate.

Western Regional Graduate Program (WRGP)

The Western Regional Graduate Program (WRGP) offers high quality, distinctive graduate programs and healthcare-related programs to students of the West at the resident tuition rate.  WRGP helps place students in a wide range of graduate programs, all designed around the educational, social, and economic needs of the West through the Student Exchange Program of the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE).

Through WRGP, students are eligible to enroll in available programs outside of their home state at resident tuition rates. Students need not demonstrate financial need. Complete the WRGP application and send it with required documentation to:
