UAA Athletics serves the Anchorage and campus communities by fielding competitive NCAA teams in 11 sports and providing recreational opportunities for students, faculty and staff. UAA is a proud member of the Great Northwest Athletics Conference (GNAC), Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA), Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) and Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association, bringing student-athletes from all over the world to participate in basketball, cross country running, gymnastics, hockey, skiing, track & field, and volleyball. Go Seawolves!!! UAA's recreation program hosts intramural sports for fun and health. The Wells Fargo Sports Complex is also available to UAA students, staff and faculty.

Kendall Ice Classic - UAA's homecoming hockey tournament comes to Sullivan Arena each October as the Seawolves host three other top Division I teams.

GCI Great Alaska Shootout - The nation’s oldest regular-season college basketball tournament has been hosted by UAA every Thanksgiving since 1978.

Recreational Sports

Wells Fargo Sports Complex- UAA's sports complex serves as a training facility for the UAA Seawolves, an educational facility for physical education classes, and a recreation facility for students, staff and faculty. The complex contains a gym, swimming pool, ice rink, fitness center, jogging track and dance studio all under one roof.

Intramural Sports - Team and individual sports leagues are available for UAA students. Get out with your peers, set goals, and get healthy playing sports including basketball, soccer, and hockey.

Recreation - Students, staff, and faculty can take advantage of the gym, pool, and other facilities for their health and enjoyment.
