The Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence (CAFE) invites you to join representatives from the Faculty Senate Grants and Leaves Committee and Faculty Services to learn how to put together your application for a Faculty Development or Travel Grant (Due: October 15 or March 15). This session will look at the applications from the perspective of the Grants & Leaves Committee, specifically what they are looking for, how they assign ratings, and how the ratings are presented to the Provost.

Did you know that the new UNAC Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) changes the review process even for those who aren't due for a major review?
 
Come join CAFE, the Provost, a UNAC representative, a UWFEC (University Wide Faculty Evaluation Committee) representative, Patty Linton (Associate Dean of CAS) and Marian Bruce (Faculty Services) to learn more about:
•       Changes to the review process based on the UNAC CBA and the new Faculty Evaluation Guideline;
•       The timeline for mandatory adoption of the new Faculty Evaluation Guidelines; and
•       Language changes in the new criteria and how they will affect the review of your file

UAA's Catalog is Going Electronic ~ Trainings Available!

E-Catalog End-User Training (for catalog updaters and department members)

March 26-27, 2014 (offered at multiple times, see list below)   Location: LIB 306

This spring, UAA is switching to an electronic catalog, which will streamline the updating process and take it online, saving an estimated 33% time updating the catalog. Students and staff will have access to the enhanced search engine to easily find detailed information

60 minute training followed by 60 minute workshop

This session will instruct all end users how to use the CourseLeaf software, including editing and workflow tools. Leepfrog staff will present how to make catalog changes, content updates, and discuss styling issues as well as an overview of the software's most common functions.  Attendees are encouraged to bring actual work they need to complete for their jobs (e.g., updates to Chapters 1-9 of the Catalog; department contact information, introductions to programs, etc., not changes to curriculum) in order to smooth the transition to this new process.  Bring your questions!
