The Office of the CIO and IT Services (IT) is responsible for UAA's telecommunications, network infrastructure, and academic technology support services. IT works closely with distributed IT staff located on UAA campuses as well as with colleagues at UAS, UAF and the Statewide organization.

Changes to spam and malware filtering for UAA email accounts

UAA is changing the way it provides email spam filtering and malware protection to UAA email users. Spam is defined as any unwanted emails from any source; malware refers to (unwanted) emails that may contain hidden code designed to cause any number of problems for your computer and private information contained therein. Malware may also take over your computer and use it to launch further infections to other computers, servers, email accounts, etc. The changes will likely go live the week of May 26.

Need to Schedule CMS Training?

IT Services Web/Applications team offers 5 training/consultation hours per week. New user trainings will be held at the UAA Information Technology office (SSB 120) and may be held in a group setting of up to 5 CMS authors. Web Consultations are available for one or more current authors of the same site looking for advice or training on more advance topics, and may be held face-to-face or via WolfLync. Sign up for the next available training by calling the IT Services Call Center. Once you are signed up, you will receive an Outlook meeting invite as your confirmation.
