Position Type:  Student Assistant A

Positions Available: Resident Advisor (RA), Peer Mentor (PM) or Programming Assistant (PA)

RA Compensation: 

  • Room and board for spring semester. 
  • Optional:  Desk duty, $8.50 per hour/up to 4 hours per week

PM & PA Compensation: 

  • $750 room discount on a single suite for spring semester. 
  • Optional:  Desk duty, $8.50 per hour/up to 10 hours per week

Duration:  January 5, 2015 (5pm) through May 6, 2015 (5pm)

The Department of Residence Life supports on-campus housing for 950 students and works in partnership with University Housing & Dining Services. Our program provides leadership training, experiential learning, awareness of diverse lifestyles and cultures, co-curricular programs and activities (educational and social), and behavioral accountability. Residence Life's student development approach focuses on enriching each student's higher education experiences by delivering high quality, student-centered programs and services.


Working as a Resident Advisor (RA), a Peer Mentor (PM) or Programming Assistant (PA) is an enjoyable and challenging experience, and provides opportunities to gain marketable skills in human relations, customer service, time management, and team building that few other positions can offer.


The selection process is highly competitive and our applicants have fun and learn from the experience.


Financial Aid information:

RAs receive room and board, and PMs/PAs receive a $750 discount on their room as compensation. Students who use state and federal loans to cover college expenses, and who are selected for an RA, PM or PA position will need to visit with a financial aid advisor to ensure the FAFSA data reflects this information. Visit a Financial Aid Advisor should you have questions regarding your specific need.
