Noel-Levitz surveys launch on Oct. 18, 2010

Noel-Levitz is recognized as one of the leading higher education consulting firms in the nation committed to helping institutions meet their goals in the areas of student retention, staff and organizational development, student success, marketing and recruiting, enrollment management, strategic planning and resource development, as well as institutional effectiveness. The University of Alaska has contracted with Noel-Levitz to conduct the Student Satisfaction Inventory (SSI) (for students only) and the Institutional Priorities Survey (IPS) (for staff/faculty/administration only) across all campuses biennially.

With the support of the Office of Student Affairs, UAA will be conducting both of the Noel-Levitz surveys again this fall. The SSI focuses on students' experiences and their satisfaction across multiple areas, including: campus life, instructional effectiveness, recruitment and financial aid, academic advising, registration, safety and security, responsiveness to diverse populations and campus climate among others. The Institutional Priorities Survey is the staff, faculty and administration complement. It serves as a means to identify key areas of agreement and disagreement between students and campus personnel. Collectively, these surveys provide great insight into the perception of student satisfaction, which is critical to student success and retention. This year's administration at UAA will commence on Monday, Oct. 18 through Monday, Nov. 15.  Students and staff should check their e-mail for a link to the survey. As a means of thanking participants for their feedback, both students and staff will be entered into individual drawings for a chance to win a great prize (e.g. a UAA Bookstore gift certificate, Visa Check Card, a free lunch at Peppercini's Deli House and much more)!

For additional information about the survey and prior reports can be found at UA Statewide Planning and Budget or UAA Student Affairs Assessment website.
