The UAA Dean of Students Office invites all University community members to attend one of three open forums where Alcohol, Drug and Wellness Educator Lexi Prunella will present key findings from the 2010 Core survey. The Core Survey is used to assess the nature, scope and consequences of alcohol and other drug use on college campuses. The UAA Dean of Students Office administered the Core survey to the UAA student community in fall 2010. Results provide insight regarding how UAA students are affected by the use of alcohol and other drugs.

Open forum attendees will be invited to provide their perceptions about what the survey results mean. In addition, attendees will also be invited to share suggestions regarding how to improve UAA's Alcohol, Drug and Wellness education program. The UAA Dean of Students Office is actively searching for grants to enhance UAA's alcohol, drug and wellness education program, and feedback from attendees will be useful in determining what grants to apply for.

This event is free and open to the public. A sign language interpreter is available if requested by Monday, Jan. 10.

If you are interested in attending, please R.S.V.P. by e-mailing Lexi Prunella at anafp@uaa.alaska.edu. For more information about these forums, please contact the Dean of Students Office at (907) 786-1214 and ask to be transferred to Ms. Prunella. Free food provided.
