Julie Brigham-Grette, chair of the Department of Geosciences at the University of Massachussets-Amherst and chair of National Academy of Sciences' Polar Research board, will be participating in the Aug. 31 discussion of climate change with the U.S. Presidential group coming to Anchorage. She will deliver a free, public talk at UAA about her research on past climates of Siberia and Alaska. This talk is co-sponsored by the UAA Geology Club and UAA Anthropology Club.
