Programs and Events
Avis Alaska Sports Complex Tour
Join us for an in-depth tour of the Avis Alaska Sports Complex, Sept. 9 at 12 p.m. Learn how you can take advantage of the gym using your employee discount.
Monthly Meetups
Join our Monthly Meetup support groups, starting in September! This year, we offer a Weight Wellness and a Neurodivergent Network group. Each hour-long session includes a 10-minute presentation on a current topic, followed by a moderated open discussion. Connect with like-minded individuals, gain valuable insights, and find the support you need for your wellness journey.
Six-Week Strength Training Course
Join our six-week strength course for UAA employees! Sessions are Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:15–6:15 p.m., from Sept. 24 to Oct. 31. The first week is 4:45–6:15 p.m. for orientation. Held in the Olympic Weightlifting Room, this course improves strength, refines lifting techniques, and promotes a healthier lifestyle. Led by Erin Galles, it's open to all fitness levels with a limit of 20 participants.
Mobility Wednesdays
Take a break during lunch and join us for Mobility Wednesdays, Sept. 25-Nov. 20! These 45-minute sessions focus on gentle, full-body movements to improve flexibility and reduce stiffness. You'll target key areas like the hips, shoulders, and spine, finishing with deep breathing for relaxation. Suitable for all fitness levels, you'll return to work feeling refreshed and focused.
