Dear Seawolves,
I am thrilled to share with you the remarkable journey and achievements of the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) as we approach our spring commencement. Your unwavering support has played a crucial role in shaping the successes of our students and we are excited to celebrate with you.
A graduation celebration
This spring, we eagerly anticipate a momentous occasion as we prepare to celebrate the achievements of an impressive cohort of 900 graduates. Their success is a testament to the dedicated support of our community. Your impact is invaluable in shaping the unique journeys of these emerging leaders.
Major milestones
As we commemorate this year, we proudly acknowledge several anniversaries highlighting the rich history and dynamic progress of UAA. Notably, UAA marks its 70th Platinum Anniversary, a testament to our enduring commitment to excellence. Kenai Peninsula College celebrates its 60th year, further underscoring the longevity and impact of our institution across the communities UAA serves. Additionally, the UAA/APU Consortium Library celebrates its 50th anniversary, standing as a cornerstone of knowledge and collaboration in the Anchorage community.
The College of Business and Public Policy (CBPP) also marks its 50th year, embodying dedication, innovation and influence in Alaska's business education. The transformative gifts from Elmer Rasmuson, Dean Weidner and Gary Klopfer and Jane Cuddy Klopfer, and by donors like you, have been instrumental in propelling CBPP to new heights. Your contributions directly impact students, scholarships and the cultivation of future business leaders.
UAA's Culinary Arts program is savoring 50 years of success and recently achieved re-accreditation with exemplary marks from the American Culinary Federation. Your continued support has contributed to surpassing fundraising goals, recording success with student-focused initiatives and reinforcing our commitment to leadership in Alaska's culinary industry.
Looking forward For Alaska
As we conclude this campaign and reflect on the transformative power of philanthropy, I am deeply grateful for your commitment to the success of UAA. Thank you for shaping the lives of our students, for contributing to the thriving UAA community and making an impact For Alaska. Together, we celebrate these wonderful achievements and look toward 70 more years of excellence.
I invite you to join us in celebrating these milestones and accomplishments you have helped us achieve. Your contributions are instrumental in our journey and I look forward to sharing more success stories in the future.
