Biography

Cecilia Karoly-Lister is an interdisciplinary artist who was raised on Dena’ina land in Anchorage by women and dogs. Her work explores the tanglings between narratives on home, queerness, and consumption. Cecilia received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Western Washington University in 2015 and MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University in Boston in 2023. While she has exhibited and curated in Alaska and nationally, her practice inhabits the gallery and the garden equally, foregrounding community engagement, multispecies healing, and opportunities for collective learning.
