Students from the WWAMI School of Medicine and the UAA/ISU Doctor of Pharmacy program took part in the 7th annual Independent Investigative Inquiry Poster Presentations on November 7, 2022.
A $1.5 million grant coordinated by Recover Alaska was presented to the University of Alaska Anchorage School of Social Work, which will significantly increase enrollment capacity, establish a pathway to licensure for graduates, add faculty and staffing, and offer continuing education to maintain clinical licenses.
Over 100 community members joined UAA faculty and staff on campus in November to immerse themselves in the College of Health's 45+ academic programs.
After a two-year hiatus, UAA STEM Day returned to campus on October 1, drawing over 1,500 community members to the ConocoPhillips Integrated Science Building to celebrate Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, commonly known as STEM. Attendees, primarily children, enjoyed activities, challenges, demonstrations, tours, and planetarium shows that explored a wide range of STEM topics from biology to robotics.
