The transcripts required for admission to UAA vary depending on the applicant's level of education. Here is an overview of what is required for each level.
First-year applicants are students who have earned (or will soon earn) a high school diploma or GED and have earned less than 24 semester college credits after graduation.
Applicants who are still attending high school must submit a partial transcript during their senior year and provide an expected graduation date on their application for admission.
Applicants who have completed high school (or GED/HiSET) must provide a final transcript along with graduation date.
Anchorage School District graduates can order transcripts online with the Anchorage School District request for transcripts form.
Students who earned a GED rather than a high school diploma will be required to provide an official GED score report issued from the state which awarded the GED.
Students who earned their GED in Alaska can request an official GED transcript using the State of Alaska GED Transcript Request form.
Important Note: Non-high school graduates without a GED should see the UAA catalog for more information.
Transfer applicants have attended college after earning a high school diploma or GED and earned at least 24 semester college credits at another institution.
Graduate applicants have been awarded a baccalaureate degree from an institutionally accredited institution and are applying for a Master or Doctoral level degree.
UAA accepts credits from Joint Services Transcript (JST), which includes:
