IT Services: Update to Billing Policy affecting fund/orgs

IT Services has been working towards updating billing processes to be more efficient and timely. The new system will automate portions of the billing process resulting in more timely delivery of expenses to departments. With this, IT Services is updating the billing policy concerning fund/orgs. As of March 9, 2020, IT Services will only accept one (1) fund/org per billable service request ticket.

John Nofsinger to serve as interim dean of CBPP

Dr. John Nofsinger has accepted the role of interim dean of the UAA College of Business and Public Policy (CBPP). Dr. Nofsinger is currently a professor of finance and the Seward Chair in international finance for CBPP. He has been instrumental in developing courses for classroom delivery, online and remote locations.

Tommy Turner leaving UAA after 38 years

After 38 years of devoted service,Tommy R. Turner is leaving UAA. Tommy came to Alaska in 1974 and began to work at the UAA Campus Bookstore in 1982. He graduated from UAA in 1987 with a degree in Justice and a minor in Sociology. His employment at the McLaughlin Youth Center continued through the decades while he worked at the bookstore — receiving and returning textbooks each semester. No one has touched more textbooks than Tommy Turner.
