Good news on funding for state scholarships, grant and WWAMI

Today we received good news from Governor Dunleavy about his decision to immediately fund the state’s Alaska Performance Scholarship [APS], Alaska Education Grant [AEG] and the Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, Idaho medical education [WWAMI] programs. This means our students who have earned these scholarships and grants can be assured of funding for their education this year.

Environmental Research Field Work Paid Opportunity

Looking for motivated individuals who love to spend the Alaska summer and fall outdoors. The Applied Environmental Research Center (AERC) is looking for individuals to participate in various field projects ranging from forestry work, invasive plant data collection and salmon fisheries studies on Joint Base Richardson-Elmendorf (JBER). Work will run through November (may change based on field season) at a rate of $1,900 per month (participant stipend).

UAA students, staff and faculty U-Pass program includes AnchorRIDES!

As part of our U-Pass program, UAA students, staff and faculty who qualify may also use the Municipality of Anchorage’s AnchorRIDES program for free with a valid WolfCard. This program provides paratransit services to individuals whose disabilities prevent them from using the People Mover fixed route system.
