On March 12, 2020, University of Alaska President Jim Johnsen announced plans to extend spring break, move classes to distance delivery, move students out of campus residence halls and cancel large campus events due to concerns about the worldwide spread of COVID-19.

Online registration open for summer 2020 Culinary and Bakery Boot Camps for youth

Culinary Arts and Hospitality Administration will be offering summer Culinary and Bakery Boot Camps for ages 11-17. Spaces are currently available in the camps running June and July (Monday-Friday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m). Classes are held on campus in the Lucy Cuddy Hall and range from basic to advanced, teaching youth skills that will last them a lifetime.
