"Gender and Violence in Spanish Culture: From Vulnerability to Accountability" presents groundbreaking investigations in the realm of politics, activism, and cultural production that offer both a complex picture of the agents involved in its transformation and a nuanced panorama of initiatives that subvert the normative framework of recognition of victims of gender violence.

Dr. Karen Markel has been named the new dean of the UAA College of Business and Public Policy following a nationwide search. She will join CBPP this coming June 2018, succeeding Dr. Bogdan Hoanca, who has served as the college’s interim dean since March 2017.

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) has named Dr. Denise K. Runge, dean of UAA's Community & Technical College, to its Presidential Advisory Board. She joins 39 other college presidents from across the nation on the board and will provide input into the organization’s strategic plan, priorities and direction.

As of January 3, 2018, all course reserves materials will now be available at the UAA/APU Consortium Library main circulation desk. In order to support student success, we have consolidated the Learning Commons materials into the library’s Course Reserves collection. The library has newly expanded hours for Spring 2018 (open until midnight, Sunday to Thursday) which allows for increased access to the materials.
