UAA celebrates 2019 Alumni of Distinction

Each fall, the UAA Alumni Association celebrates three Alumni of Distinction for their contributions to their chosen fields and community. This year's honorees are Alumni of Achievement Jacki Holzman, Alumni Humanitarian Angelia Trujillo and Alumni Emerging Leader Vanessa Norman.

Alumni of Distinction: Vanessa Norman

2019 Alumni Emerging Leader Vanessa Norman is an attorney with a specialization on assisting Alaska Native corporations with general corporate matters, living up to a long family legacy of working toward the betterment of Alaska Native people.

Alumni of Distinction: Angelia Trujillo

2019 Alumni Humanitarian Angelia Trujillo has become forensic nursing leader in Alaska, advocating and supporting patients as a women’s health nurse practitioner, and educating the community by establishing the Alaska Comprehensive Forensic Training Academy.

Alumni of Distinction: Jacki Holzman

2019 Alumni of Achievement Jacki Holzman is the deputy regional administrator for the Alaska region of the Federal Aviation Administration. Her position is the culmination of a 27-year career with the FAA and keeps the organization afloat by connecting its various operations and stakeholders to address aviation safety.
