Congratulations to UAA's 2021 Alumni of Distinction awardees

UAA is pleased to announce the 2021 UAA Alumni of Distinction awards recipients: Alumni Emerging Leader Kira Apaachuaq Eckenweiler; Alumni Humanitarian Amanda Metivier; and Alumni of Achievement Dr. Cynthia Teniente-Matson. The three distinguished UAA alumni will be honored for their outstanding contributions in their chosen fields and communities at the UAA Alumni of Achievement Banquet on April 23.

An update on the Alaska Native Success Initiative

The University of Alaska Anchorage has a vision to build an Alaska Native community within UAA and be a global leader in Alaska Native student success, teaching and scholarship. Help the Consortium Library improve our website

We are looking for student volunteers to help us improve the library website by allowing us to observe you spending about 15-30 minutes performing a set of tasks on the website.

AEDC seeks UAA business or economics student to serve as an intern

AEDC is seeking a two-week intern to perform data gathering for the Cost of Living Index (COLI), a national survey of 260+ communities that measures the average cost of living in an average city in America and then provides analysis of the cost of living competitiveness of all cities participating in the survey. In 2022 Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau and Kodiak participated in the survey.

UAA Summer Engineering Academies return to campus — apply by March 18

The UAA Summer Engineering Academies are back on campus with face-to-face camps in Anchorage and Mat-Su for students entering grades 3 through 12. This program is made possible by ConocoPhillips Alaska, with additional support from the MTA Foundation and Siemens.
