Auditions for upcoming UAA Theatre production

The UAA Department of Theatre and Dance is holding auditions for its upcoming show, MAPLE AND VINE by Jordan Harrison. Auditions will be held online, with audition forms and recorded monologues due by Monday, Jan. 17 at 5 p.m.

Free textbooks for spring semester!

Did you know that UAA is offering 1,000 spring 2022 course sections that have ZERO textbook costs (ZTC)? If you are enrolled in one of these course sections, any required textbooks and similar course materials for it should be available to you for FREE (may be limited to online format only)!

Exposure notification alerts launch in Alaska

iPhone users in Alaska can now activate an exposure notification feature, Alaska COVID ENX, that uses Bluetooth technology to provide anonymous alerts of potential COVID-19 exposures. Alaska COVID ENX is free, anonymous, optional, and easy to use. On Jan. 18, Android users will also have access to ENX with an app available in the Google Play store.

Welcome to spring semester!

Despite the challenges of these times, I hope everyone had a much needed break during the holiday closure. I want to welcome you to the spring semester. This semester, UAA leadership and faculty are not only focused on learning and career preparation, but also the health and safety of the UAA community. In light of an uptick of COVID-19 cases in Alaska, I am sharing new information to help you prepare for a successful semester.

A new year brings new challenges

As we begin spring semester, I want to acknowledge the recent challenges our community members have faced. Illness and personal loss, widespread weather-related damage, extreme travel delays and related expenses, and a host of other challenges have made the transition to the new year particularly difficult.
