Oct. 27: Renewable Energyscape of Alaska

Brian Murkowski is a long time Alaskan and is the CEO of Brian Murkowski Energy Consultant Firm. He also consults for Renewable Energy Project Alaska and has been involved in many renewable energy projects. He will be joining us Wednesday, Oct. 27, 6:30-7:45 p.m. in Rasmuson Hall, Room 110 to share his experience in his field and also regarding the role that Alaska plays in international trade.

UAA to expand capacity of bachelor’s degree in nursing

In response to industry needs and workforce shortages, UAA will expand its Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. This will allow the university to accept 40% more students who are interested in pursuing a four-year degree in nursing.

Education Abroad at UAA open for students!

UAA Education Abroad is an opportunity for UAA students to study abroad or participate in an internship or service learning experience in another country while still receiving academic credit towards their UAA degree! Students can choose programs from all over the world, use their financial aid to pay for program fees, and go abroad for the summer, a semester or an academic year.

Job opening: ISER Graduate Research Assistant - Master of Public Policy Program FY23

The Institute of Social and Economic Research (ISER) at the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) is hiring a Master of Public Policy student to research community impacts of river erosion and policy solutions in Alaska’s Yukon River Watershed. This position will be part of a larger research project funded by the National Science Foundation on planning for and adapting to riverbank erosion.
