The program incorporated storytelling from Elders; hands-on cultural activities; discussion and connection with other Alaska Native students, staff, and faculty; exploration of cultural identity; and documentation and sharing of cultural identity and strengths.

Job opening: Health Promotion Specialist

UAA Student Health and Counseling Center is seeking a Health Promotion COVID-19 Specialist, a full-time, 40 hour per week, term funded position. This position will provide the UAA Community with COVID-19 vaccine promotion and education on mitigation strategies. The position will be a part of the Health Promotion Team.

Office of the Bursar closed Oct. 14 from 1-2 p.m.

The Office of the Bursar, including the Cashiering Windows, will be closed for a meeting on Thursday, Oct. 14, from 1-2 p.m. Emails and voicemails will be returned when we reopen. Departments may utilize the drop box for deposits during the brief closure.

ECB Parking Garage closed Oct. 10-25

UAA's Engineering & Computation Building Parking Garage

Due to emergency repairs on the fire hydrant at ECB, the parking garage hydrant supply will need to be shut off for a couple weeks while we work on the system. During this time, the entire areas will be closed with the drive-in access from Mallard Lane closed to the public. There will be barriers with signage at the bike path and skybridge as well. We will update here with any changes to the schedule.
