Dear UAA Community, I am pleased to announce that after a competitive national search process, Marie Gardner, Ed.D., will join UAA as director of Mat-Su College.

Events that will have refreshments require an approved Representational (Rep) Allowance Form. In addition to the approved form, there may be additional requirements dependent on the type of event, attendees, and anticipated refreshment costs.

Need to ship fish? We got you covered! Visit the UAA Mailroom (Seawolf Postal Express). We ship FedEx, and offer a holding freezer until carrier pick up!

As the summer months begin, please be mindful of wildlife on and around campus. Both moose and bears are active on the Anchorage campus right now.

Seawolf Dining has worked hard all summer to improve our meal program this year, and we're thrilled to introduce two more new concepts on campus this fall Seawolf Marketplace and Just Baked Smart Bistro. Seawolf Marketplace is your spot for made-to-order salads with house-made dressings and freshly made soups!

The new, official UAA Campus Map is now produced in-house at your UAA Copy & Print Center! The new maps are ad-free with no subsidy so departments will need to purchase maps.

Facilities & Campus Services will be closed on August 25, 8-10:30 a.m., to allow our staff to attend the UAA Faculty & Staff Convocation. For facility-related emergencies during these hours, please get in touch with UPD at 786-1120.

Campus Kickoff welcomes all UAA students, staff & faculty to celebrate the beginning of the academic year. It’s an excellent opportunity for everyone across the UAA campus to connect and be in community. Throughout the past 20 years, Campus Kickoff has grown into one of UAA's most beloved campus traditions.

For the first week of the Fall Semester, the UAA Technical Support Center (TSC) will be open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. in support of our students returning to the university. Starting the second week, the TSC will return to their normal schedule of 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Academic Dispute Resolution Training has been canceled so that faculty may attend the Faculty Senate Retreat, which is a valued and important kick-off event for the Senate. One or more trainings will be scheduled in September.
