NSS welcomes new Assistant Director

Native Student Services is thrilled to announce that Valerie Svancara has accepted the Assistant Director role for NSS. Valerie (she/her) is of Settler-Colonizer heritage (mostly Czech and German) and grew up in what is now Colorado on the land of the Arapahoe, Cheyenne, and Ute peoples.

Bill Blanas Celebration of Life

Vasillios (Bill) Blanas passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday last week. He was a valued member of our UAA family throughout his journey as a student, alumni and most recently as the Apprenticeship Coordinator representing the UA system under the Community and Technical College.
