PWSC Outdoor Leadership Capstone trip to Denali National Park

Have you ever been inspired by Denali? PWSC graduate Rafael Alfaro and current student Evan Clupper will lead a capstone trip to Denali National Park with Dr. Benjamin Rush, assistant professor of outdoor leadership.

100 Miles in May Challenge Recap

100 Miles in May is a great month-long program/fundraiser run by Healthy Futures to raise awareness and build the habit of daily physical activity among our youth by being active ourselves. All Team UAA Employees participants logged their miles throughout the month and kept us in 4th place among 288 teams overall.

Mental Health Appointments Update: summer semester

Mental health appointments at the Student Health and Counseling Center are available for eligible students Monday through Thursday this summer; May 15 – August 10. Friday appointments will resume on August 18, 2023.

C-CERT hosts Basic Training Course

The UAA Campus- Community Emergency Response Team (C-CERT) recently conducted a basic training course with great success. As a result of this training, three UAA staff members have learned the skills and knowledge they need to be effective members of the campus CERT team.

948 Alaska high school students designated for $12,000 UA Scholars Award

Every year, schools in Alaska identify the top ten percent of their junior class for the UA Scholar Award, a designation which includes a $12,000 scholarship for use at any location within the University of Alaska system.

Kaladi Brothers Coffee Summer Hours

Seawolf Dining is excited to announce that Kaladi Brothers in the Social Sciences Building (SSB) will be opening up for the summer on Monday, May 15. Summer hours are as follows, Monday - Thursday, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Swipe Away Hunger Results

This semester Seawolf Dining was excited to announce that our Swipe Away Hunger program is back. Students with meal plans had the opportunity to donate their unused meal swipes. We received over 250 meal donations from students!

Information Desk is open with food, drinks, and Summer Gear Rentals!

Our student run information desk is your one-stop shop and will be open throughout the summer from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Here, UAA students and staff will have access to what they need most, which of course includes: healthy and not-so-healthy snacks/drinks, tickets to UAA events, and outdoor gear rentals.

Summer 2023 Office Hours for IT Services

Starting Monday, May 15, 2023 the IT Services office in the Social Sciences Building, Room 120, will be open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. These hours are for the physical office location and does not impact the hours for the IT Technical Support Center.
