Chugachmiut is a rapidly growing501(3)c Non-profit, Alaska NativeRegional Tribal Consortium. There are opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to make up to $25/hour based on a variety of interest areas such as forestry, wildfire, drone pilot work and GIS.

The College of Engineering and College of Business and Public Policy is hiring interns for the spring and summer semesters. This internship offers opportunities to gain hands-on experience: testing scientific hypotheses using data acquired from drones and processed with machine learning, learning techniques in machine learning, artificial intelligence, data analytics, geospatial science, natural resources, and image processing and developing software systems.

Free for 10 students! This class will help gardeners learn the principles of Integrated Pest Management, an approach to managing insects, disease, and other garden “pests” through structural, biological, mechanical, and chemical practices. The aim of IPM is to protect ecosystem health, including our own, by making wise choices for pest management and control.

This course will provide participants with a foundational understanding of interprofessional approaches to FASD from an Alaskan perspective. The course is organized into 7 required modules and follows the FASD Competency-Based Curriculum Development Guide for Medical and Allied Health Education and Practice from the CDC.

The evening speaker series "Economics After Hours" continues this fall with 3 upcoming events at The Writer’s Block Bookstore and Cafe (3956 Spenard Rd, Anchorage).

The Student Union will move to operating hours of 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday, from Dec. 18, 2023 to Jan. 14, 2024. Seawolf Grounds, our student-run coffee shop, will be closed throughout the winter break.

DUO is moving from their traditional multifactor authentication prompt to a new prompt they are calling DUO Universal Prompt. This change will result in the DUO prompt looking visually different as well as enhancing the security of the DUO MFA service.
