Do you know a staff member that deserves recognition for going the extra mile? Staff members are a vital part of higher education. Whether it is going the extra mile to ensure students are able to log into their online class or being an advocate for student success, staff contribute to the mission in many ways every day. That’s why the University of Alaska recognizes university staff who provide outstanding service to students anywhere in the system with the Staff Make Students Count Award.

Faculty and staff: Please provide input on the direction for a future honors program at UAA. A task force identified several key elements that would be critical to creating an honors program for UAA's diverse student body, open access mission and campus strengths in teaching, research, community engagement and commitment to diversity. The survey asks for your attitudes about the major directions identified by the Task Force as UAA considers creating a new direction for universitywide honors education. The survey results will be shared in two open forums over the next several weeks to gather additional campus feedback.

The Office of the Bursar is recruiting for an Accounts Receivable Technician. This position works within the Cashiering area of the Office of the Bursar, which is often students' first point of contact when inquiring about the university and their student account. The Accounts Receivable Technician serves as a cashier and accounts receivable information generalist resource to students and other members of the university community inquiring about university policies and procedures.We are looking for someone motivated to provide excellent customer service to our university community to fill this full-time, benefited position.

Share your enthusiasm for UAA by joining the recruitment team as a Recruitment Office Assistant! The Office of Admissions is hiring for a student worker to help them in student outreach, general office support, and aiding students through the admission process. UAA is a campus affiliate of the National Coalition Building Institute (NCBI), an international leadership organization that works with colleges, universities and government agencies to create communities of belonging, increase cultural competence and eliminate racism and other forms of oppression.

The UAA Future Graduate (FG) program is a new program that received approval in December 2020 for the Master of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition program. All classes are online and the supervised experiential learning rotations are located in Alaska. The applications for the first cohort are due April 15, 2021 and the program start date is Aug. 23, 2021.
