There are many ways to communicate how you feel to the people in your life. Good family communication is the largest single factor in determining the kinds of relationships that we form with others. During this seminar, we will explore how you can use communication to strengthen your relationships and to enhance mutual understanding.

Last week, the UA Board of Regents Audit Committee met. The committee charged President Johnsen and the chancellors with the development of transformative structural options for the University of Alaska system; however, the president has said this will not include the one university model.

UAA Accounting Services is recruiting for a Fiscal Technician 2. This is a full-time, regular staff position, 12 months per year. This position provides customer service to students, donors, sponsoring agencies, and various university departments in order to disburse various types of financial aid in excess of account charges to students. The UAA Campus Community is proud to present UAAVotes! UAAVotes aims to elevate civic engagement programs at UAA in fall 2020, including community events, department programs and student organization activities. Early-bird deadline for submissions is June 30; final deadline is Aug. 30.

Plans are underway to begin expanding on-site campus operations this summer and loosening existing restrictions. The University of Alaska (UA) statewide office, in consultation with the universities, developed a phased framework for re-opening within the university system. This is a positive step toward moving to a mix of remote and face-to-face operations this fall.
