Come learn how you can save the life of someone in distress from a heroin or opioid overdose. Complete a quick training and receive a life saving overdose rescue kit. Open to UAA students and staff.

Flu and COVID Vaccine Clinic

Protect yourselves and the UAA community this flu season! The Student Health and Counseling Center is hosting fall flu and COVID vaccine clinics! Clinics will be on Oct. 9 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Consortium Library as well as on Oct. 11 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Rasmuson Hall lobby.

Climate Club Movie Night - Eating Our Way to Extinction (starring Kate Winslet)

Come join UAA's Combat Climate Change Club (C4) to watch "Eating Our Way To Extinction" and discuss how the modern food industry impacts indigenous groups as well as our planet. Now more than ever, it's important to learn what we can do to prevent climate change, and this documentary starring Kate Winslet will help us celebrate Indigenous People's Day as well as learn more about how the companies that make our food impact our future.

Sober Seawolves meetings are starting up again for the fall semester! Sober Seawolves is a peer-led group for students in or working towards recovery as well as those who would like support with cutting back.

Network Maintenance

UAA ITS Networking will be performing maintenance on the UAA network beginning Friday, Oct. 6 at 9 p.m. through 1 a.m. on Oct. 7 to improve network reliability and performance.

Indigenous Peoples Day Activity

The AKNS Department is inviting staff, faculty, students & community members to participate in a fun interactive activity. The Indigenous people of Southeast Alaska are clan based societies and up until the early 20th century lived in large clan-based houses.
