Each year, the UAA Summer Engineering Academies offers students grades three through 12 in Anchorage and the Mat-Su a variety of week-long, engineering-themed camps. Each academy is designed to encourage interest and provide a hands-on, unique educational experience in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, also known as STEM.

Thirty-five teams of alumni and friends gathered for the annual Nine in the Spine mini-golf tournament on Feb. 26. Teams played on two courses designed by student clubs and university organizations, stretching from the Cuddy Quad to the Alumni Center. A Winterfest tradition, this year's event raised nearly $6,000 for the UAA Alumni General Support Fund.
