The first UAOnline changes are coming this month: Throughout 2024 and 2025, UAOnline will be updated with a new look and feel. Among the first changes that users will notice starting in late June will be to the main menu and site navigation, as well as the addition of some new pages, including the new My Profile dashboard.

Incident: We have been notified of an issue where the “Zoom Meetings” desktop application is no longer visible on UAA Windows computers. This occurrence is due to an unforeseen modification that has resulted in the application being renamed to “Zoom Workplace.”

For a long time, the scientific community believed we were born with a certain number of brain cells and neural pathways and that, once damaged, they could not be repaired. In reality, our brains are much more flexible. Depending on our lifestyle, we can weaken or destroy connections, or create new, stronger ones.

Our CMS will be receiving an upgrade next Friday, on June 7, 2024 and will be unavailable for four hours that day. During this time, edits to existing pages will not be possible. However, pages that are currently live on the website will not be affected. Please make and save any changes you need to make before this upgrade period.

The UAA Student Health and Counseling Center will be closed, 9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 6, 2024.

Access to buildings on West Campus may be disrupted on June 8, 2024 until 1 p.m. Seawolf drive, Sports NW Lot, Sports West Lot, and South Lot will not be accessible during the event.

We heard from staff in the 2023 UA Employee Feedback Survey about the importance of both engagement and inclusion for job satisfaction. This month the UA HR Talent Acquisition and Development Team has curated four training collections, spanning from team-building activities to mentoring, all bound together by the theme of working better together.

UAA’s Incident Management Team (IMT) is reopening the Avis Alaska Sports Complex (AASC), Student Union, General Support Services and Enrollment Services, and the Spine leading in and out of those buildings, tomorrow, Wednesday, May 29 for regular hours of operation.

Enrollment Services will be closed May 31 for Staff Appreciation Day. While Enrollment Services is usually closed the first Friday of each month, we will be open on June 7.
