FEMA to test nationwide emergency alert system Oct. 3, 2018

On Wednesday, Oct. 3, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will conduct a nationwide test of its Integrated Public Alert and Warning System. For the first time, the test will include activation of the Wireless Emergency Alert System, meaning cell phones across the country will receive an alert.
