Bacteria are on the menu in Experiential Learning: Microbial Biology. Students in the upper-level biology course took a mid-semester break to chop sauerkraut and cultivate yogurt, all while learning how bacteria plays a role in the kitchen. Germ appétit!

West Campus water is offline as of March 5, 2018 due to a blown fire hydrant. Please be aware of this as you come onto campus today. UAA Facilities is coordinating with a local contractor to complete the repair as quickly as possible.

2018 Jazz Festival at UAA is March 7-10

The UAA Department of Music is proud to present the 2018 Jazz Festival. This year's guest artists include trumpeter Keith Karns, percussionist Zach Compston and keyboardist Tony Martin. In addition to the concerts held on March 9 and 10, there will be free (or almost free) concerts on March 7 and 8.

UA Press releases new Alaska Literary Series titles
