Get up, dress up and have a great run! The 2017 Santa Run course is a 2.5K run (one lap) around Goose Lake, stating and ending at UAA.

As a freshman, Valeria Delgado had no idea that joining her friend for a UAA student club meeting would inspire her to spend the next four years advocating for smoke and tobacco policy change on campus, as well as nationwide.

Tracey Burke, a professor in UAA’s School of Social Work, has dedicated her career to closing the gap between UAA, the community and raising awareness of food insecurity. Her latest collaboration with Catholic Social Services’ St. Francis House Food Pantry is contributing to a wider community discussion on creating a more just society.

The Alaska Arts and Culture Foundation, in partnership with the Alaska State Council on the Arts, recently announced the recipients of the 2017 Alaska Literary Awards and Connie Boochever Fellowships. Student Diversity Award application period now open; apply by Dec. 8, 2017

The Diversity Action Council seeks to recognize and empower students to lead change in the community by offering tuition awards of up to $1,000. Applications are due by Dec. 8, 2017.

Dec. 6, 2017: Prep for finals with free soup lunch

The UAA Student Health and Counseling Center will be serving a free soup lunch Wednesday, Dec. 6, 11 a.m.–1:30 p.m. in the Rasmuson Hall lobby.

Knockout November/De-Stress December 2017

Students from the Health, Physical Education and Recreation program will be leading a series of fitness activities throughout November and December 2017 to fulfill their course requirements. Please come to participate and offer encouragement to our students! Classes are free and open to all.
