Chromebook Giveaway for Students

Need a basic computer for your classes? If so, consider getting a Chromebooks through the Chromebook Giveaway! Chromebooks are available to UAA students who are currently registered for classes and perfect for attending a class via Zoom, accessing Blackboard or your email, and web browsing.

Student Engagement Focus Groups

We are currently recruiting student participants for our student engagement focus groups. If you know of any students interested in providing feedback about their engagement expectations and experiences on campus, please encourage them to participate.

FREE Virtual MHFA Training

Mental Health First aid for Adults will be held in two four-hour virtual sessions Friday, Feb. 3 and Saturday, Feb 4 from 12-4 p.m. This course teaches people how to recognize signs of mental health or substance use challenges in adults ages 18 and older.

Student Dental Days

Every Monday from Feb. 6 until April 24, students can receive discounted cleanings for $45-$65 at the UAA Dental Clinic. Students must have a valid Wolfcard ID and currently be registered for the Spring 2023 semester.

Gilman Scholarship App Open for Study Abroad Programs

UAA Education Abroad is excited to announce that the Gilman Scholarship application is open for students pursuing an education abroad program/internship during summer 2023, fall 2023, spring 2024, or the academic year 2023-2024.

Stalking is a common issue on college campuses

The most common stalking behaviors reported by college stalking victims include: unwanted voice or text messages (45%); unwanted emails or social media (44%); being approached or seeing the stalker show up at places when the victim did not want them to be there (37%). Between 6% and 39% of college students report being stalked since entering college.

The Cabin Fever Debates return!

The Seawolf Debate Program is excited about the return of Cabin Fever Debates, UAA's intramural debating tournament for 2023. Free to enter for any UAA student enrolled in at least 6 credits in the Spring '23 semester, the tournament offers the opportunity for students to practice their critical thinking and advocacy skills while competing to win over $2000 in prizes.
