Director of Public Relations Kirstin Olmstead departing Sept. 7

After nine years at UAA, first in the Community & Technical College and then in University Advancement, Kirstin Olmstead will depart her current role as director of public relations to begin a new position with Providence Health and Services. Her last day at UAA will be Sept. 7.

UAA students, staff and faculty U-Pass program includes AnchorRIDES!

As part of our U-Pass program, UAA students, staff and faculty who qualify may also use the Municipality of Anchorage’s AnchorRIDES program for free with a valid WolfCard. This program provides paratransit services to individuals whose disabilities prevent them from using the People Mover fixed route system.

With safety at top of mind, the University Police Department is launching Rave Guardian, to replace the UAA Safe App. Rave Guardian allows you to turn your smartphone into a personal safety device and campus resource center.

VC for Student Affairs Bruce Schultz to retire from UAA

Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Bruce Schultz will be retiring from UAA at the conclusion of this academic year. Bruce’s career at UAA spans nearly 30 years and began as a graduate intern in the early ’90s. During his time here he has made significant contributions to improving the student experience — building a robust student life program and promoting student development.
