By the mid-1980s, tensions between the world’s superpowers eased and Alaska once again served as a gateway to the Far East. As a political aide to Governors Cowper and Knowles and Senator Begich, David S. Ramseur had a front row seat to the warming relationship between Alaska and Russia. Consider joining us as Ramseur looks at how Alaska emerged from the Cold War era and helped melt the Ice Curtain.
