May Training Spotlight: Performance Management & Evaluation

As we navigate performance evaluation season, and in response to the 2023 UA Employee Feedback Survey, UA HR’s Talent Acquisition and Development team is highlighting development resources available to you for coaching, setting goals, supervising diverse teams (including remote and hybrid team structures), and conducting evaluations for this month’s training focus.

Multicultural Student Services Graduation

Multicultural Student Services (MSS) Annual Graduation Celebration: This event specifically centers and celebrates students who identify as Black, African American, Indigenous, Native American, Hispanic, Latine/x/a/o, Asian, Pacific Islander, Middle Eastern and North African, multiracial or mixed heritage; students who practice minoritized religions; and international students.

Creative Practice of Sustainable Art in the Arctic (2003-2024), Art Exhibition

On Friday, May 3, 5-7 p.m. in the Arc Gallery at UAA/APU Consortium Library, UAA Department of Arts faculty member, Herminia Din, Ph.D., will present a solo exhibition, ‘Creative Practice of Sustainable Art in the Arctic (2003-2024)’, featuring work spanning her career at UAA as she retires from the university.

Lavender Graduation

Lavender Graduation is a celebration of the accomplishments and achievements of undergraduate and graduate students who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, aromantic, asexual, agender, non-binary, pansexual, same-gender-loving, two-spirit, allied, and all others connected to the LGBTQIA2S+ community.

The News: Changes are coming to how staff, faculty, and students interact with UAOnline. Over the next 18 months, UA will be upgrading UAOnline and Banner Self-Service to version 9.
