As winter approaches and road conditions worsen, I am providing an update about our policies surrounding inclement weather and campus closures. Please note that we have established new policies in response to questions about how weather-related closures affect those who can work remotely.

UAA's division of Campus Services is proud to welcome Jon Dyson as the General Manager for the Alaska Airlines Center. Jon brings a host of large venue management skills, including venue marketing, AV and media production, and overall facility operations management. We are looking for an undergraduate student to serve as the coordinator for Project BREATHE. Project BREATHE is a program which seeks to improve and assist in promoting and implementing the smoke and tobacco-free policy in the U-Med District, which includes UAA, APU, ANMC and Providence Alaska Medical Center.

The UAA Department of Facilities Operations and Maintenance is looking for a dependable and organized student to join our team! Students will assist the preventive maintenance manager with data entry, finding and uploading operation and maintenance manuals, creating and printing QR codes, labelling equipment, and ensuring preventive maintenance standards are accurate.

The AHEC Program aims to engage students into healthcare career pathways, supports health professions students in gaining exposure to rural and underserved communities, and provides technical assistance for health continuing education across the state.
