Tlingit storyteller visits UAA

Bob Sam is an internationally known Tlingit storyteller from Sitka. He also has vast experience with protecting sacred sites and cemeteries, traditional ways of healing, medicinal plant use and repatriation. All are invited to learn speaking and breathing techniques on March 9 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Cama-I room; a meet and great is also scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. He will also be telling stories at the Alaska Native Heritage Center on March 10 at noon and 2 p.m. For more information call 786.6136.
