Kappa Delta Pi scholarship award

Shenandoah Herda was recently awarded the 2007 Donna Gail Shaw Scholarship for Chapter Service from the Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education. She is a 2005 graduate of the UAA College of Education Master of Arts in Teaching program and served as president of the UAA Rho Zeta, Kappa Delta Pi Chapter during the 2005,06 academic year. She is currently a science teacher at Steller Secondary School in the Anchorage School District and plans to use the scholarship money to purchase science teaching supplies for her students.
