UAA has been affiliated with EDUCAUSE for a number of years. EDUCAUSE is a non profit association whose mission is to advance higher education by promoting the intelligent use of information technology.

Resources available to member institutions include:

  • Professional development activities
  • Applied research
  • Strategic policy advocacy
  • Teaching and learning initiatives
  • Online information services
  • Print and electronic publications (including books, monographs, EDUCAUSE Quarterly and EDUCAUSE Review)
  • Special interest collaborative communities
  • Awards for leadership and exemplary practices

EDUCAUSE membership currently includes more than 2,100 colleges, universities, and educational organizations, including 200 corporations, with 16,500 active members.  With our membership, UAA may identify both "Participating Representatives" and "Subscribing Representatives".  Participating Representatives will receive EDUCAUSE Review and EDUCAUSE Quarterly. These members are usually active in the association, attend EDUCAUSE conferences, and participate on membership committees.  Subscribing Representatives will receive EDUCAUSE Review.  They will occasionally receive informational materials from EDUCAUSE.

If you are interested in becoming one of our six Participating Representatives or eleven Subscribing Representatives please contact August Axtell (august.axtell@uaa.alaska.edu or 786-4707).
