Leadership Anchorage now accepting applications through Aug. 17, 2007

The UAA Alumni Association would like to announce that Leadership Anchorage applications are now available online at www.akhf.org . As applications are received, interviews will be scheduled. Deadline for application is Aug. 17. The program year begins with an overnight retreat Oct. 12.

Leadership Anchorage is an award-winning, rigorous program for adults. It is designed to expose the leaders of nonprofit, neighborhood, business and ethnic organizations to the larger powerbrokers of Anchorage and Alaska. The program involves ten full-day sessions, includes one-on-one mentorship programs, a group project fulfilling an already expressed need in the community and a series of readings in the humanities. The goals is to encourage more effective community leadership with a wider and more diverse network of connections.

Leadership Anchorage is open to individuals who have already demonstrated a commitment to their community, have shown leadership skills, but who would benefit from intensive leadership training.
