Ms. Cathleen Rolph, Kenai Peninsula College Adjunct Instructor and Kenai Peninsula Borough School District Quest Program Specialist, has been invited by Dr. William J. Wilhelm of Indiana State University to serve as co-presenter on the topic, Building Student Integrity in a Digital Environment: Practices and Resources, at the National Business Education Association Annual Conference to be held in San Antonio, TX, March 19 to 22, 2008.

The session will focus on methods that classroom teachers can use to build integrity into their students' decision-making.   The focus will be on today's highly technical digital environment, and will address ethical reasoning as a teachable concept.  At the session, attendees will evaluate an ethical dilemma dealing with electronic sources of information; discuss ways to preclude electronic plagiarism, cheating, and copyright infringement; and learn about the risks and responsibilities of publishing personal information to the Internet.

The National Business Education Association, based in Reston, VA, is the nation's largest professional organization devoted exclusively to serving individuals and groups engaged in instruction, administration, research, and dissemination of information for and about business.  NBEA is the leading association devoted to the recognition that business education competencies are essential for all individuals in today's fast-changing society.
