Altering Adapting Adjusting for a Second Chance is a artist collation presenting DEFACED: the altered book project. Opening reception is Oct. 5 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the UAA APU Consortium Library. The same artists that brought you Infectious Waste, rescue, revive, recycle and reuse discarded and unwanted books to create new works of art. In the age of computers, books are becoming obsolete. These artists hope to challenge this notion and prove that these books still have purpose even if it is not the same of their original intent.
