2007 Alaska WWAMI Mini Medical School lecture series

Everyone is invited to attend one or all five lectures in a series presenting topics which concern all Alaskans. Premier Alaskan physicians will demonstrate innovations in medical science through lectures and interactive case examples. The Tuesday evening series will explore liver and infectious diseases, the science of immunizations, and causes and treatments of cancer. The first topic will be presented by Dr. Steven Liu of the Katmai Oncology Group: Basic Microbiology of Cancer. What causes it? Each presentation will be at 7-9 p.m. in the East Auditorium at Providence Alaska Medical Center starting Oct. 2. Cost is $35 for series or $7 per night.
